Humprecht Jan Czernin, future diplomat, rich landowner, and especially prominent art collector and patron of baroque arts and architecture, undertook his Grand Tour to Italy, France and the Low Countries. He spent three years traveling round Europe in the latter years of the Thirty Years War, concluding his studies.

Ignaz Karl of Sternberg, a future president of the Court of Appeal of the Kingdom of Bohemia, and owner of an extensive library, made his mark in art history as a generous sponsor alongside his eldest brother Wenceslas Adalbert. He undertook his first Grand tour together with his elder brothers from 1662 to 1663 and the second one with Petr of Říčany from 1664 to 1665.
Johann Norbert of Sternberg undertook his educational journey together with his brothers Wenceslas Adalbert and Ignaz Karl. Before reaching an important office he died prematurely in 1678.
Václav Vojtěch of Sternberg (1643-1708), is characterized by cent literature as someone ‘who manifested himself in his adult life as a “good householder”, a successful politician, and above all an educated sponsor. (Hojda 2022, p. 333). Among others, he had built the Troja suburban villa in Prague. Together with his younger brothers Johann Norbert (1644-1678) and Ignaz Karl (about 1646-1700), he undertook the educational journey from 1662 to 1665.
